Honestly, you were given sound advise to that!! I've been here less than 2 weeks and I'm at 1k cards. With advent calendar going on you'll get a lot of free ones. Do all the games you can and take advantage of the shops. I did 48 boundless blues and got 500 or so cards and between that and doing all the games that's how I am where I'm at!
(Tho I do think don't be me and also get the Double Rewards from Orange Rewards cause you can use that on PoG and acrostic monthly and get 200 cards instead of 100... so spending 5 candies there... is good (don't be me))
